Our country was shaken by two major earthquakes on February 6. While tens of thousands of people lost their lives in these earthquakes, hundreds of thousands of people lost their homes. We have been working with all our might since the first day of the earthquake to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster and to reach those in need quickly.
On the 3rd day of the disaster, we coordinated with AFAD teams to carry out search and rescue operations in the provinces affected by the earthquake. Our 13-person team rescued many of our citizens from under the rubble. They continued their duties in the field in solidarity.
After the search and rescue operations were completed, we started working to meet the needs of the region. In the first stage, we ordered 52 prefabricated houses. The panels and profiles produced in the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone were sent to the Yeşilyurt district of Malatya, where AFAD indicated a location. All of our masters in our team took part in the assembly work. Prefabricated houses offer a hygienic living space with a toilet and bathroom where a family can live. 52 prefabricated houses were completed and offered for the use of earthquake victims.
In the second stage, we decided to build 50 more prefabricated houses together with our friends who follow our work and want to support us. We started working on houses with the same features in the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş, where AFAD indicated a place, and we completed and delivered all the houses.
We would like to thank the companies that support our work, especially our team members who work with great devotion in search, rescue and prefabricated housing production.
We will get through these difficult days by coming together.
